We took part in a farm tour at Two53 farm this weekend as part of the Alberta Open Farm Days. The host was very friendly and welcomed us to his farm shortly after we arrived. The tour took about an hour but was packed with info on how they use permaculture principles on their farm. Kudos to farm Two53 for their success and putting on a great event!

Enjoyed the tour, Travis is very passionate about what they are trying to accomplish. High level info about permaculture farming provided with nuggets of deeper findings. I plan to connect at a later date with more specific questions around soil amendments, rotations, etc

Loved that Travis was so knowledgeable and engaging during the tour. He was very open to answering lots of questions about permaculture and his operations there and where they are looking to take their farm over the next while in terms of further permaculture advances. I like how he gave the common names of several plants he uses for specific functions around the property - learnt a lot and would go back again to see how things have changed. I can see where Travis would be an excellent resource if you are considering incorporating some permaculture aspects into your own property.

We had a great time at FarmTwo53 and got the most delicious fresh produce. The pictures in the trough are a lot of fun and very funny. Definitely worth checking out. Thank you for this experience.
