About this farm

Prairie Gardens is a working 35 acre vegetable farm​,​ offering veggie u-pick tours​,​ succulent workshops​,​ and family farm picnics​,​ which feature produce grown on the farm. We also grow sunflower mazes (ready in September) and corn mazes for you to enjoy when you visit! In our gardens​,​ zucchinis​,​ garlic​,​ kale​,​ cucumbers​,​ and tomatoes are in-season right now! For Open Farm Days we are pleased to offer the following free activities: - Corn Maze -Sunflower Mazes - Guided U-Pick Veggie Garden Tour (*please note​,​ you pay for the vegetables that you pick) We are also excited to offer the following activities for the Open Farm Day Weekend: - Fresh-Farm Market​,​ featuring our produce and Benny's fresh-baked bread - Succulent Planter Workshop (Learn how to grow and propagate your own succulents. Make-your-own stunning succulent planter to take home.) - Raising Chickens Workshop (Learn how to raise and care for chickens. Take home a Hens & Chicks Teacup.) - Family Farm Picnics (Enjoy our farm produce in a private picnic area. Includes a campfire.) - 5-Course Gourmet Short-Table Dinner with Kathryn from Get Cooking Edmonton

Farm rules

Please Note: It is NOT business as usual on the farm. We take the safety of our guests, staff, and community very seriously. There are new safety protocols on the farm. All activities must be pre-booked, including the free activities. 1. No Smoking 2. No Pets - Pets are not allowed on the farm and it is too hot to leave them in your vehicle. 3. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. 4. No outside food is permitted on the farm. If you would like, you can book a Family Farm Picnic and enjoy our farm produce onsite. By Advance Registration Only. 5. We supply buckets to pick vegetables. Please leave yours at home. 6. Portable toilets will be available onsite. 7. If you are sick (cough, fever, etc.), please stay at home. 8. Please maintain 2m (6') between yourself, other guests, and staff. 9. Due to covid-19, our playgrounds, petting farm, wagon rides, and gem mine are closed. 10. Please note strawberry picking reservations are full. Strawberry picking will be available again after Open Farm Days until the end of August.

    Always a wonderful way to disconnect from the every day and reconnect with family and enjoy the beauty of farmland and gardens. Beautiful place and wonderful produce! We enjoy the fall festival every year, and for our first time, enjoyed our farm days experience ! Love this place!!

    Love coming here !! Always a great experience, staff is so knowledgeable and wonderful to pick up from fresh veggies ! I sure hope all goes well and your able to put on a "Covid" friendly October. As that's my favourite time to visit
